Georgia's art revolves around her hand made paper. She often uses several
different techniques within a piece. Her love of re-purposed and natural
objects is also evident in many of her pieces.
Visit her "In My Studio" page to learn more about the processes.

I come from a family that appreciates the value
,craftsmanship and personal expression of an object
beautifully made. These qualities were instilled in me as I
grew and learned to appreciate, "The irregular and
intimate quality of things made entirely by the human
hand". *
My years as an artist have taken me through many
different media and each experience has helped to bring
me to where I am now,
For the past several years I have been exploring mixed
media with a focus on handmade paper. I love to layer, to
build the surface, making it rich with texture and color. I
love to make art that catches your eye from a distance
and then compels you to come closer and ask, "How did she
do that" ?
I gather inspiration from the world around me. It could be
from nature, or the written word or from a trip to the
market or the museum. I never know where my next idea
will flow from so I simply keep my eyes open and my
sketch pad ready.!
It is my hope that the art I make will encourage others to
look more closely at the world around them. To slow down
and keep their eyes and minds wide open and wondering.
